Arrival by plane

Next airport is Memmingen/ (93 km) with good train connections to Oberstdorf. Munich airport (207 km) can be reached in about 2.5 hours. Transfers are also available to all airports. There is the possibility to book a cab shuttle, please ask for this at our reception.

Arrival by car

The Wellnesshotel Walserhof is not directly accessible via Austria, but exclusively via Oberstdorf in Germany. Due to its special location in the Allgäu Alps, Kleinwalsertal does not have a direct connection to Vorarlberg or the state of Austria. Kleinwalsertal can only be reached by car and bus via a German road from the neighboring community of Oberstdorf. The journey takes place via the B19 to Oberstdorf and further to the Kleinwalsertal. You do not need a freeway vignette for the road from Oberstdorf to Kleinwalsertal. Guests from Switzerland drive best via the Bregenzerwald and the Riedbergpass. In bad weather conditions, you can also switch to the route via Oberstaufen. Once in Kleinwalsertal, drive through the village of Riezlern and after crossing the Breitach bridge, our hotel is located at the entrance of Hirschegg on the left side.

In winter, please make sure you have the appropriate equipment, winter tires and snow chains (the latter is only required if you decide to take the route over the Riedberg Pass).

The freeways in Austria are subject to tolls. Vignettes are available at border crossings, gas stations and post offices.

Arrival by train

Take the Deutsche Bahn to Oberstdorf/Allgäu and from there comfortably continue with the Walserbus line 1 (departure at bus platform B directly opposite the train station). The Walserbus will take you to the bus stop Außerhirschegg, which is only about 30 m away from the hotel.
